ADK Consulting Taps Executive Director for Monterey Peninsula Airport

June 19, 2015 – ADK Consulting & Executive Search has placed Michael La Pier as executive director of the Monterey Peninsula Airport. He will replace Tom Greer, who announced his retirement last year. In his new role, Mr. La Pier will report to the five member publicly-elected board with responsibility for the development, operation and administration of the airport and its services to customers. He will also lead and represent the Airport District in negotiations with local, regional & national businesses and airlines to develop opportunities for strong passenger service, aviation services and regional business operators.

Mr. La Pier has accrued over 30 years of experience throughout his career in senior management positions at airports from Central Illinois Regional Airport to Sacramento International Airport to the international airport at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

“The board of directors is very fortunate that Mr. La Pier has chosen to accept this important role as executive director at the Monterey Regional Airport,” said Bill Sabo, current chair of the Monterey Peninsula Airport District board of directors. “Mr. La Pier’s depth of industry experience combined with his recent leadership background at another airport with a significant hospitality customer base will serve all of us well in the tri-county region going forward.”
