ADK Consulting & Executive Search Recruits Chief Strategy Officer for the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority

May 16, 2025 – ADK Consulting & Executive Search has recruited Yovannie Rodriguez as senior vice president and chief strategy officer of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. Linda Frankl, director, senior practice leader, led the assignment.
Ms. Rodriguez brings a strong background in aviation administration and strategy, most recently holding the title of executive vice president and chief administrative officer for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA). In that role, she was responsible for the overall development and activities of revenue generating concessions, business development, records, human resources and regulatory compliance functions. Previously, Ms. Rodriguez served as deputy general counsel for GOAA, working on a capital improvement program involving $3 billion in infrastructure development. She also worked for the private law firm, Marchena and Graham, PA.
Ms. Rodriguez is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). Ms. Rodriguez was a 2024 Honoree of The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) Annual Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation Awards as well as a Top 40 Under 40 Award by the Orlando Business Journal.

As chief strategy officer, Ms. Rodriguez will be instrumental in shaping and driving the long-term strategy of the authority. She will oversee key operational and strategic areas, including finance, communications, governmental and community affairs, marketing, risk management and safety, and the project management office.
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority is the governing body responsible for the development, operation, and management of Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), which serves North Carolinaâs Research Triangle region. Established in 1939, the Authority is an independent government entity that oversees strategic planning, infrastructure development, and day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused air travel. RDU is a key economic engine for the region, offering domestic and international flights and supporting thousands of jobs.

Spokane International Airport Search
ADK was recently retained by the Spokane International Airport to lead in its search for a new CEO. Ms. Frankl is also leading that assignment. The Spokane Airport Board seeks an innovative, forward-thinking CEO who will be a champion for growth and development of the region, Spokane International, Felts Field Airport and the Airport Business Park. The CEO provides strategic leadership and oversight of all airport operations, including aeronautical activities and the commercial and industrial development of nonaeronautical properties, according to the job specification. Reporting to the airport board, the CEO ensures the airportâs regulatory compliance, while advancing economic growth and operational excellence.
ADK is looking for candidates with a bachelorâs degree in aviation management, business administration, public administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred). Those applying should have extensive executive-level experience in airport management, transportation, or economic development. They will have a deep understanding of FAA regulations, commercial aviation, and public-sector administration as well as a proven track record in business development, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. Candidates must have a strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, capital planning, and revenue generation.
