Momenta Partners adds Danny Yu Silicon Valley

October 3, 2017 – Zurich-based executive search firm Momenta Partners has announced that Danny Yu has been named partner, Silicon Valley and Western U.S. He will lead Momenta’s expansion into Silicon Valley and the Western U.S. and focus on executive search assignments for clients in the area. The firm also has locations in New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Miami, Atlanta and San Francisco.

Mr. Yu brings connected industry experience as a pioneering entrepreneur, global corporate executive, and senior venture capitalist with 25 years of experience in business creation, revenue growth and shareholder value creation, said the firm. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Daintree Networks (now GE), a connected industry leader in smart-building control, sensing, and enterprise IoT application software. Earlier, he was a vice president of strategic marketing, business development and sales at Philips Lumileds; managing director at VantagePoint Venture Partners; and partner at DynaFund Ventures. Mr. Yu is passionate about creating high-value solutions and building businesses that achieve mass scale, Momenta Partners said.

IoT Veteran

Recent Growth

Momenta Partners recently expanded with the addition of three new recruiters. Emma Valdivia, who joined the firm as a partner, has more than 12 years of experience leading high profile client searches across the industrial and technology markets. She previously served as a principal consultant and partner at DHR International.

Brent Lorenz now lead the firm’s transaction advisory practice, focusing on sell side and buy side M&A for companies in the industrial IoT and connected industry. His transaction experience is enhanced by technology experience that reaches across IoT, industrial automation, wireless communications, and cloud software and services. Previously, Mr. Lorenz was co-leader of the technology practice at investment banking firm the McLean Group.

Luca Mazzei, who has extensive experience in launching connected business models and services in industrial organizations, joined the firm’s advisory practice as a partner. Mr. Mazzei’s expertise in strategic marketing spans both industrial and IoT settings. Most recently, as chief growth officer at John Crane, he led the marketing organization’s transition from one focused on products and technology to a strategic entity.
