Caldwell Partners Expands In Latin America

August 18, 2016 – Executive search firm Caldwell Partners International has opened a new office in Buenos Aires and added four new partners.

Adilson Parrella and Pedro Folque de Almeida have joined the Sao Paulo office, Eleonora Cajiao has joined the Bogota office and Estanislao Peña has opened the firm’s new office in Buenos Aires.

Mr. Parrella has extensive experience executing C-level and senior executive assignments in all disciplines including marketing, finance, sales, human resources, manufacturing and supply chain across several major industries, including consumer and industrial.

He was formerly with Zavala Civitas Executive Search where he led the firm’s consumer and FMCG practices in Brazil and South America and also held full P&L responsibility for the start-up operations in Brazil of a European executive search firm. Before that he was a senior part with Korn Ferry. Outside of the executive search industry, Mr. Parrella had a 13-year career managing commercial and manufacturing operations for subsidiaries of multinational companies, demonstrating particular expertise in conducting business turnarounds and managing startups and multifunctional teams.

Mr. Folque de Almeida specializes in executive recruitment in the industrial sector. With more than 20 years of experience in executive search, he has held significant leadership positions at some of the world’s largest executive search firms, in many cases holding full responsibility for the industrial and technology practices in the Iberian region, as well as driving business development and cross-border search execution.

Previously, he was vice president and partner with Fesa Executive Search. Before that, he served as a partner in Spain and Portugal for Odgers Berndtson. Earlier in his search career he also gained experience with Korn Ferry.

Ms. Cajiao draws on more than 20 years of experience in executive search, leadership consulting and senior executive positions, to recruit C-suite and functional leaders for clients across the FMCG, retail and industrial sectors.

She joins Caldwell Partners from Korn Ferry, where she was a senior client partner. Prior to entering the executive search industry, she managed the international expansion of Eduparques S.A (a subsidiary of the Pedro Gómez group of companies) into several Latin American countries. Earlier, she worked for Unilever Andina, where she held several executive level positions of increasing responsibility.

Drawing on a 26-year career in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Peña specializes in recruiting senior executives and building high performance teams.

Prior to joining Caldwell Partners, he held roles of increasing responsibility with Nextel, starting as a sales representative and eventually holding the role of CEO of Nextel Chile. In 2014, he led the sale of Nextel Chile to Novator Partners LLP, remaining an integral part of the organization as chairman of the board for the new WOM Chile (formerly Nextel), and was actively involved in the recruiting of the senior leadership team. Concurrently, he became the CEO of Paperless LatAm, leading the company’s regional operations.

“With the addition of an office in Buenos Aires and four new partners in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, we now have full coverage of the entire Latin American market,” said Eduardo Antunovic, managing partner of Caldwell Partners. “With president Mauricio Macri’s recent economic reforms and pro-market agenda, now is the perfect time to start up operations in Argentina – the third largest economy in Latin America.”
