April 25, 2013 – Executive search firm Witt/Kieffer has been selected by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) to lead in its search for a new president and chief executive officer. Former HLSR president and CEO Skip Wagner accepted the president and CEO position of the 12th Man Foundation at Texas A&M University in March. We selected Witt/Kieffer based upon the firm's vast experience helping nonprofit and other leading organizations find truly dedicated and exceptional leaders," says HLSR chair R.H. Stevens. "We are seeking a president and CEO who appreciates the history and importance of the Show and Rodeo to the community, but also want to look far and wide for just the right person to guide our future." The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the world's largest dedicated to benefiting youth, supporting education, and facilitating better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation. Witt/Kieffer assists hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, medical schools and physician groups; biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device companies; colleges and universities and not-for-profit community service and cultural organizations with senior administrative recruiting assignments.
