Walden University Expands HR Offerings

March 24, 2011 – Walden University has introduced an online M.S. in human resource management degree program and is adding a human resource management specialization to the Ph.D. in management program. The new master's degree program gives students the opportunity to gain the skills and practical learning experience they need to further their career in human resources, whether they plan to enter the field or aspire to advance into an executive position. Three specializations — functional human resource management; integrating functional and strategic human resource management; and organizational strategy — address progressive stages of career development and encompass the strategic, organizational, management and analytical skills today's employers seek. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has evaluated, recognized and approved the alignment of Walden's master's degree in Human Resource Management with SHRM's HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates, which helps define human resource education standards. Today, more than 42,500 students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries are pursuing their bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees online at Walden.
