Two More Recruiters From CTPartners Join Rivals
July 27, 2015 – Two top producing recruiters from New York-based CTPartners have left the embattled search company for local tri-state rivals. Rebecca Glasman has joined Russell Reynolds Associates‘ financial services practice while Andy Talkingon has gone to ZRG Partners. Ms. Glasman joins Russell Reynolds as a member of the firm’s asset and wealth management, alternatives, global banking and private equity practices. She has 15 years of executive search experience, during which she has leveraged her industry and analytical expertise to conduct senior-level searches for a wide range of strategic and functional roles. Most recently, Ms. Glasman spent 10 years with CTPartners and prior to that served as an associate with Heidrick & Struggles. She joins recently defected CTPartners vice chairman and financial services recruiter, Robert Voth, who joined Reynolds in early May.
“Financial services firms are being reshaped by digital disruption, regulation, continued economic uncertainty, diversity of thinking, customer-centricity and an increased focus on executive compensation,” said Mark Adams, leader of Russell Reynolds Associates’ U.S. operations. “The addition of two new consultants to our financial services team demonstrates our firm’s commitment to delivering enhanced insight and value to our clients.”
Mr. Talkington joins West Orange, NJ-based ZRG Partners as managing director to further build the firm’s global industrial practice. He will be based in Houston. With more than 16 years of executive recruitment experience, Mr. Talkington previously served for two years as vice chairman and co-head of the global industrial practice at CTPartners, where his search practice was concentrated in placing top executives in board of director, CEO, and executive-level management positions within the industrial sector.
His past executive search experience includes stints with Korn Ferry, where he spent three years as a senior client partner in the firm’s CEO and board services practice, and Heidrick & Struggles, where he spent 14 years as global managing director. Before entering the recruiting business, Mr. Talkington spent nearly 10 years with Occidental Petroleum where he honed his skills in mergers & acquisitions, business management, operations & engineering, and technology.
Mr. Talkington’s appointment follows last week’s announcement of ZRG Partners hiring Jim Aslaksen, another former co-head of CTPartners industrial practice group. “Andy brings great expertise in his industrial market niches. He is a proven search industry professional with a solid business grounding and track record of success,” said Larry Hartmann, CEO of ZRG Partners. “His experience and contact base will further fuel our global industrial practice.” Re-uniting Jim Aslaksen and Andy Talkington will provide “seamless support to their long time clients,” said Mr. Hartmann, “who have come to rely on them for top talent needs.”
