Three Former CTPartners Recruiters Join Kingsley Gate Partners
July 30, 2015 – Three top recruiters from New York-based CTPartners have joined executive search firm Kingsley Gate Partners. Buster Houchins, Umesh Ramakrishnan, and Raj Kapoor join fellow former CTPartners veteran Adam P. Kohn, who joined Kingsley Gate Partners in recent weeks. Mr. Houchins was vice chairman and a member of the executive committee of CTPartners and he brings an executive operating background from General Electric, ADAC Laboratories, Acuson and Sopha Medical Systems. At Kingsley Gate he becomes a member of the office of the CEO. Mr. Houchins has recruited board directors, CEOs, COOs, CMOs, CFOs and other senior management positions during his executive search career. His clients have ranged from emerging organizations to Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, and life sciences, his main area of concentration.
Mr. Ramakrishnan, who also joins Kingsley Gates’ office of the CEO, was previously vice chairman and chief innovation officer at CTPartners. He has recruited members for boards of directors, CEOs, CFOS, COOs, and other senior management positions. Over a career of almost three decades, Mr. Ramakrishnan has held senior executive and board positions that have given him both operating and strategic planning experience.
“There were two principal reasons I invited Buster and Umesh to join me in the leadership suite of this firm,” said senior partner Nancy Albertini. “First, I wanted to surround myself with leaders who have grown a search business successfully. Second, I wanted to assure all my partners that power and authority will never be isolated in the hands of one person at Kingsley Gate Partners.”
Mr. Kapoor, who specializes in senior partner and practice leader searches on behalf of global professional services firms, financial services institutions and private equity concerns, brings 20 years of recruitment experience including nine years of retained search experience. Most recently, he was a partner within the professional services practice of CTPartners in New York. Mr. Kapoor will continue focusing on working with the big four, management consulting, technology services, BPO and business services clients. He has completed a number of assignments for partners, managing directors, practice leaders, and various sales leadership roles within these sectors.
“As we conducted our strategic planning exercise, we looked at geographic and vertical expansion,” said Ms. Albertini. “Raj hits the mark on both fronts. He is the first of our planned partners in an important and essential market – New York – and in addition, he bolsters our professional services practice admirably. Our clients have reacted to this announcement with enthusiasm.”
Founded in 2006, Kingsley Gate is an executive search firm that recruits senior leadership positions for private equity and venture capital portfolio businesses and Fortune 100 companies.
