The Human Capital Group Acquires Human Capital Initiative

June 19, 2012 – Brentwood, TN-based The Human Capital Group, Inc. has acquired The Human Capital Initiative, LLC (HCI), an Atlanta-based human resources and leadership consulting firm. Steve Hayes, founder and senior partner of The Human Capital Group, discovered not only a similarity in names between the two companies but a common foundation and commitment to identifying and developing leaders. He approached Ed Chaffin, founder and president of HCI, about the possibilities of partnering together in early 2012. Mr. Hayes stated: “We are humbled and excited to unite two equally yoked firms committed to serving our diverse and growing base of clients. We will leverage The Human Capital Initiative name, capabilities, and trademarks to enhance our current leadership consulting, speaking, and executive coaching offerings, as well as to serve and develop companies and organizations in the ever-changing global marketplace.” Mr. Chaffin joins the Human Capital Group as a senior consultant, establishing a new HCG branch office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, while leveraging and supporting his relationships in the Atlanta area and throughout the U.S. He has over 30 years of business experience and a passion for helping others invest in themselves, their teams, and their organizations. Founded in 2000, The Human Capital Group is a retained executive search and leadership consulting firm with offices in Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and affiliate offices in 30 countries worldwide.
