April 10, 2017 – Executive search firm Sterling Martin Associates is currently seeking new leaders for The Association of Progressive Rental Organizations and The International Safety Equipment Association.

Managing partner David S. Martin, along with senior recruiters Leigh Beal and Kahti Motley, is leading both assignments.

The Association of Progressive Rental Organizations

The Association of Progressive Rental Organizations (APRO) has retained Sterling Martin to search for its next executive director. The position is located in Austin, TX.

APRO, the international voice for the rent-to-own industry, is a non-profit trade association. It provides educational, leadership and professional development opportunities to its members and suppliers. It is also responsible for the protection, promotion and advancement of the rent-to-own industry.

The chosen leader must have 10 or more years of senior level management experience in the association sector and have the ability to oversee the major functional areas of a business, i.e., administration, finance, membership (program / service benefits), conventions / tradeshows, government affairs, training / education, publications, insurance, and marketing.

The International Safety Equipment Association

The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) has retained Sterling Martin to search for its next president. This position is located in Arlington, VA.

ISEA is the leading association for personal protective equipment and technologies that enable people to work in hazardous environments and is an ANSI-accredited organization that develops and promotes standards. It works closely with manufacturers, test labs, subject matter experts, end-users, and government agencies in the standards development process. Manufacturing member companies include 3M, DuPont, and Honeywell, among many others. Distributor and associate companies include Airgas Safety, UL (Underwriters Laboratories), and WW Grainger.

The chosen leader must possess 10 or more years of association management experience, preferably in a manufacturing-related association or an association that promotes and writes product standards.

Non-Profit Specialists

Founded in 2006, Sterling Martin Associates focuses on finding leaders for the nation’s associations and non-profit organizations.
