Solomon Page Fashion & Beauty Recruits CEO for mDesign Home Décor

September 28, 2020 – Solomon Page Fashion & Beauty has placed seasoned retail executive Stacey Renfro as the new CEO of mDesign Home Décor, a multi-million-dollar marketplace seller and digitally native brand. “We are confident that Stacey’s leadership will be pivotal and essential to the tremendous growth we are projecting,” said Robert Immerman, founder and chief innovation officer at mDesign. “Stacey’s wealth of experience in E-commerce, marketing, planning and merchandising has driven impressive results for the companies she has led.”

“She has a proven track record of leading highly successful teams, implementing game-changing strategies and managing complex growth initiatives across a variety of retailers,” Mr. Immerman said. “We are excited to have her on board for what will be an incredible and monumental journey for mDesign.”

Ms. Renfro is a seasoned retail executive with over 25 years of progressive experience leading omni-channel and E-commerce platform strategies. Most recently, she was executive vice president, chief digital and customer experience officer at the Vitamin Shoppe. Before that, Ms. Renfro held several leadership roles at Pier 1 Imports including executive vice president, planning and allocation, and senior vice president of E-commerce. She spearheaded the re-launch of Pier 1 Imports’ online business in 2013, which drove its growth from $30 million to over $450 million in five years.

She has been  recognized as a leader in the retail and E-commerce space, named by Chain Store Age as Top Ten Women in Retail (2017) and Top Ten Women in Retail Technology (2016). She also serves as the co-chair for the National Retail Federation’s digital council, as well as on the advisory board’s for both CNBC’s Technology Executive Council and Women in Retail Leadership Circle.

New Position

In her new role, Ms. Renfro will be leading the mDesign Home Décor brand through an aggressive global growth strategy as it continues to establish its lead in the industry as the go-to for stylish home storage and furnishing solutions to help organize life. She will be based in the company’s Glenwillow, OH, headquarters.

At the end of April, Solomon Page announced a charitable initiative to support COVID-19 frontline workers. In conjunction with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s announcement of the First Responders Fund, the recruitment provider will donate five percent of its quarterly margin to the New York City-based fund. With its corporate headquarters based in the global epicenter of the disease, Solomon Page’s founders have expanded the firm’s 2020 charitable contributions to support healthcare worker relief efforts across the city.

With offices nationwide, Solomon Page will be identifying additional non-profit organizations to support during the COVID-19 pandemic. “It is crucial that our frontline workers have access to the resources they need,” said Mr. Page. “The effects of this disease will continue to be detrimental – and it is our obligation to do whatever it takes to mitigate the impact.”
