Signium Opens New Office in Hamburg, Germany

August 4, 2026 – Executive search consortium Signium has opened a new office in Hamburg, Germany. The new office is led by Moritz Drerup, managing partner, who joined Signium with more than a decade of executive search experience and a highly focused practice in technology and AI leadership. The Hamburg office represents a natural evolution for Mr. Drerup’s established executive search practice, combining his specialist expertise with the reach, sector depth, and international capability of the Signium network, the consortium explained. It strengthens Signium’s presence in Northern Germany and connects the network more closely to Hamburg’s business and technology community.

“Hamburg is a strategic addition to our German network,” said Annelize van Rensburg, global chair at Signium. “Moritz brings a deep understanding of both leadership challenges and the commercial realities our clients navigate. His experience makes him a valuable asset to the team, offering practical insight into the sectors and business models where leadership expectations are evolving most rapidly.”

“The new Hamburg office adds further depth to Signium Germany’s leadership advisory and executive search capabilities,” Ms. van Rensburg added. “As German businesses respond to the pace of digitalization, AI adoption, and changing growth expectations, the expansion places Signium closer to the leadership conversations shaping the country’s next phase of transformation.”

Mr. Drerup focuses on C-level and senior leadership appointments for German Mittelstand companies, private-equity-backed businesses, and scale-ups. Specializing in technology and AI, e-commerce, and industry, his professional background spans strategy consulting, senior roles in e-commerce, and academic lecturing at the Hamburg School of Business Administration. He is fluent in German, English, and Dutch.

“Artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry, but technology alone never wins a transformation,” said Mr. Drerup. “What decides the future for Germany’s Mittelstand and its scale-ups is the right leadership – people who understand the technology and can carry their organizations through change. That is precisely the gap we close, and with Signium’s global network behind us, we can now do it at an entirely new level.”

The economy of Germany is a highly developed social market economy. It has the largest national economy in Europe, the fourth-largest by nominal GDP in the world, and fifth by GDP (PPP). Of the world’s 2000 largest publicly listed companies measured by revenue, the Fortune Global 2000, 53 are headquartered in Germany, with the Top 10 being Allianz, Daimler, Volkswagen, Siemens, BMW, Deutsche Telekom, Bayer, BASF, Munich Re, and SAP.

New Office in Argentina

Signium launched Signium Argentina in Buenos Aires. Led by managing director Flavio Beretta, Signium Argentina will support organizations across the country and the wider region in identifying and developing senior leadership talent as Argentina undergoes significant economic transformation. With more than 35 years of executive search experience across Argentina and extensive work with national companies, multinationals, and family-owned enterprises, the team behind Signium Argentina brings deep knowledge of the nation’s diverse talent landscape. The firm operates with dual presence in Buenos Aires and Rosario.

By combining deep local experience with the reach of Signium’s network, we believe we can deliver meaningful value to organizations seeking transformational leadership.”

“Argentina’s corporate landscape also continues to be shaped by the strong presence of family-owned businesses,” added Mr. Beretta. “Many of these are moving toward more professional governance structures, formalizing boards and leadership teams. There is an increasing demand for executives who can balance entrepreneurial culture with modern governance practices.”
