Paul Peabody

Paul S. Peabody is a highly recognized Information Technology Executive with 41 years of leadership experience in the healthcare sector.  Paul spent 30 years as the CIO and Corporate Officer of Beaumont Health in the Greater Detroit area.  Paul built an IT staff from 60 to nearly 500 over his 30-year tenure that was considered to be the leading healthcare IT staff in Michigan.  Beaumont was the first to install the now dominant Epic Health Information System.  Paul worked directly with the Epic CEO, Judy Faulkner, to enhance the Health Information System software.

Paul spent 3 years in San Diego leading the acquisition and installation of cutting-edge technology in the new Palomar 400 bed Medical Center.  Palomar has been recognized as one of the three most technologically advanced hospitals in the US.  Paul also spent four years as the CIO for the Bronson Healthcare Group leading a conversion from Cerner to Epic that saved Bronson over $9M.

Paul was a founding member of the Detroit Chapter of SIM, serving as Chapter President and Board member.  He also is a founding member of the San Diego Chapter and served on the Board.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Michigan.  He was an adjunct instructor in the MBA program at Oakland University for two years and a Board member of Kettering University for eight years.
