Paul Esselman is Senior Executive Vice President, Managing Director of Cejka Executive Search, a nationwide leader in executive search specializing exclusively in the healthcare industry for more than 35 years. He draws upon years of results-oriented leadership experience within health care, to help board members and senior executives carefully define and secure the leadership talent organizations need to thrive in today’s transformative healthcare environment.

As Managing Director, Paul provides strategic oversight and operational direction for the Cejka Executive Search team and is intimately involved in nurturing the firm’s many long-term client and talent relationships. He provides client consultation for senior-level executive search engagements, focused on C-suite positions and assisting with organization development and succession planning strategies.

Having specialized in the healthcare executive search industry for more than 20 years, Paul is recognized as a thought leader on health care talent management issues and leadership trends. He is astute at working with senior leadership teams to identify the unique operational, financial, strategic and cultural nuances of individual executive-level positions. This coupled with his tenacity regarding all aspects of the search process, including candidate sourcing, screening and negotiations, makes Paul a valued partner to the many healthcare organizations he has served.

Prior to joining Cejka Executive Search, Paul successfully led sales and marketing and other transformative initiatives in the biotechnology industry for 15 years. His managerial experience includes responsibility for profit and loss statements, operating budgets, multi-department strategic initiatives, and corporate restructuring. Paul leverages his diverse industry experience to help build high-performing teams at leading healthcare organizations, including hospitals and health systems, academic institutions, physician group practices, and managed care.
