Katherine Frank

A highly skilled and proven human resource leader, Katherine’s approach to academic search and transition planning is informed by her extensive experience within the academy.  Katherine’s understanding of the complexities of University leadership and the academic environment make her a credible and skilled facilitator in consultations where she translates feedback from stakeholders at all levels of the academy into candidate profiles that make sense and serve as a strong foundation for the search.

Before joining our team as Partner, she was the Assistant Vice-President of Human Resources at Dalhousie University for more than 8 years. Previous to this, she held the same title with the University of Calgary. Her robust knowledge of human resources and insight into the academic environment is a significant asset to our academic executive recruitment team.

Katherine is a Certified Human Resources Professional. She holds a Human Resource Management Certificate from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta and has also completed the Industrial Relations Executive Program at Queen’s University.

An active community volunteer, she has contributed to the success of the United Way and St. Andrew’s United Church, and currently is a Director on the Board of Solutions Learning Centre. Katherine is also a Mentor with the Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia.
