Andrea Forbes-Hurley

As a Partner with KBRS, Andrea’s commitment to providing strategic counsel and building lasting partnerships is evident to all those who have the pleasure to work with her. Andrea has been instrumental in the successful completion of over 200 executive search assignments with KBRS over the past 10 years.

Having worked with a variety of governing bodies and selection committees, Andrea brings a well-developed understanding of how to support and advise these groups to facilitate a seamless, collaborative decision-making process in a publicly accountable context. While Andrea has worked with clients across both the public and the private sectors, her particular focus is in the recruitment of leaders for post-secondary, government, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations.

Before Andrea joined KBRS as an Executive Search Consultant, she managed recruitment efforts in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick on behalf of the largest accounting firms in the country. Previous to this role, she worked for one of Canada’s largest pension and benefits firms in pension administration.

Andrea has a keen interest in effective board governance and is a member of the Maritime Chapter Advisory Executive for the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) of Canada. She also believes strongly in the importance of organizational diversity and inclusion and in supporting and welcoming new Canadians and volunteers as a professional mentor through the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS).
