Joanmary Baker

Joanmary is a social worker in private practice with over 20 years experience in her field. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Memorial University and also holds a BSW and a Bachelor of Arts (sociology).

Having spent a large portion of her career in the public healthcare sector, Joanmary has moved on to the private sector where she uses her knowledge and experience to help people navigate life’s transitions with a special interest in workplace issues and anxiety.

Joanmary’s approach is pragmatic, creative and compassionate. She believes the best way to work with people is to allow them to be the ultimate decision makers about what gets addressed and how it is done.

Joanmary is a believer in life-long learning. She is constantly looking for ways to update her skills and expand her perspective, through books, workshops or travel. She also loves the outdoors and spends free time walking and hiking at home and away.
