John D. Nimesheim

John is the Managing Director of Slayton Search Partners and brings more than 17 years of experience in the retained executive search industry, all with Slayton. John primarily serves manufacturing and distribution clients across the consumer/retail, industrial and medical products industries. Throughout his search career, John has successfully recruited top talent across the entire executive suite including P&L leaders and heads of Human Resources, Finance, Strategy, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Information Technology, and Sales and Marketing for large and mid-cap public, private and private equity backed companies.

In addition to providing advice and counsel to his own clients on their critical executive hiring needs, John also manages the firm’s internal execution team, which includes administration, research and candidate development. With a keen eye on process, John and the candidate delivery team ensure that the quality of execution stands ahead of industry standards. With the goal of striving for flawless execution, the execution team has helped solidify Slayton Search Partners as one of the most respected “super boutiques” in the country.

Prior to joining Slayton, John served as a Human Resources Manager for a mid-size manufacturing company in Chicago. Before that, he was a Human Resources representative for a large medical products and services company, and for a mid-size distribution company. While his Human Resources experience was generalist in nature, his primary focus was on the recruitment of mid- and senior-level executives.

John and his wife, Julie, reside in Northfield, IL and have four children.
