As an Executive Search Consultant, Cynthia identifies, recruits, and cultivates talented leaders for nonprofits nationwide. Cynthia brings exceptional project management, organizational and leadership skills, as well as a passion for social impact.

Before joining Koya, Cynthia worked as an Associate Director of Recruitment at Commongood Careers. In her role she not only recruited excellent candidates for her nonprofit clients, but she also managed the hiring, training and capacity of the recruitment team.

Prior to joining Commongood Careers, Cynthia was the founding Upper School Social Studies teacher at KIPP DC: Heights Academy. As a Posse Scholar, Cynthia understood the need for access to quality education for all students and wanted to be directly involved in education reform. Cynthia’s passion for non-profits stems back to her undergraduate years when she was involved with various social justice and identity groups on campus. During her summers she interned with youth development organizations such as Crossroads for Kids and Thompson Island Outward Bound.

Cynthia holds a BA in Sociology from Hamilton College and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from American University.
