Odgers Berndtson Launches Digital Search and Board Consulting Practices

February 27, 2014 – Executive search firm Odgers Berndtson has launched a new digital search practice which will be headed by seasoned digital search consultant Candi Dalipe. Odgers has also partnered with digital strategist Barry Libert to provide board-level digital strategy learning and consulting services. The firm's comprehensive digital practice will help companies and organizations across all industries and sectors better understand, identify, address, and leverage the myriad ways in which digital innovations and emerging technologies are enhancing, disrupting, and transforming businesses. In addition to traditional executive search services, Odgers will work with boards to better understand the business opportunities that digital presents so that they can better recognize and remedy digital competency gaps across their management teams charged with developing and delivering corporate strategy. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Ms. Dalipe founded her own strategic search firm. She also served as an executive director with Russell Reynolds Associates, where she led the firm's emerging technology, media, and entertainment practice in New York. Before Russell Reynolds, she was a principal at a boutique search firm where she focused on media, entertainment, and consumer technology. Ms. Dalipe was also at AOL Time Warner, where she helped form and build the company's internal executive search group, working across AOL Time Warner's entire portfolio of companies, including AOL, HBO, Time Inc., Warner Music Group, Turner Networks, Time Warner Cable and Warner Brothers Studio. She is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with concentrations in Marketing and Multinational Management. Ms. Dalipe will be based in Odgers Berndtson's New York office. Mr. Libert has spent the last two decades advising larger organizations on the impact of social, mobile and big data on business models, including through OpenMatters, a Boston-based technology investor and strategic advisory firm he founded and where he currently serves as chairman. He is the author of five books and 20 e-books on the impact of digital and emerging technologies on business models, and a frequent commentator on the changing dynamics of corporate leadership and governance in the digital age. Mr. Libert will co-lead the firm's board advisory practice and work closely with Ms. Dalipe, with both reporting directly to Steve Potter, managing partner of the Odgers Berndtson's U.S. operations. The three recently partnered together on an article titled: "It’s the New World of Digital Everything: Are Your Board Members and Leaders Ready?" Odgers Berndtson provides a wide range of recruitment services for leading organizations in private and public sectors, including board level and executive search, management assessment and international assignments.
