Monster Posts Seven Percent Revenue Gain

November 8, 2010 – Monster Worldwide, Inc./(NYSE:MWW) has posted revenues of $228.8 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2010, a seven percent gain compared with $214.5 million in the comparable quarter of 2009. GAAP revenue of $229 million includes a $1.8 million purchase accounting adjustment related to the HotJobs acquisition. The company posted losses of $5.7 million, or five cents per share, compared with a year-ago profit of $32.8 million, or 27 cents per share. “We continue to gain momentum across all geographies and major vertical markets — resulting in year over year bookings growth of 26 percent, or 23 percent excluding HotJobs, and a sequential improvement in deferred revenue,” said Sal Iannuzzi, chairman, president and CEO. “Our business is growing in large part due to our unrivaled global reach, our portfolio of innovative solutions, and our search products powered by our patented 6Sense technology.”
