Marcum Search Opens Fort Lauderdale Office
October 1, 2015 – Marcum Search LLC, the executive search affiliate of accounting and advisory firm Marcum LLP, has launched a new search practice based in South Florida. Headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, the new office will be led by Bonnie Koppelman and Randi Valdes.
The search consulting division complements the firm’s other divisions focusing on executive recruitment. It will partner with clients to place certified consultants for engagements averaging three to six months, or longer. Positions filled will include accounting managers, financial analysts, directors of finance, controllers, business analysts, and project management professionals, among others.
In her role as vice president of business development, Ms. Koppelman will connect with C-suite executives including chief financial officers, controllers, chief information officers and other finance, accounting and information management leaders, to establish relationships and bring new project opportunities to Marcum Search. She joins Marcum from global consulting firm Resources Global Professionals (RGP), where she spent nine years as director of client service. Her background includes “Big 4” accounting and management roles in accounting, finance, treasury, audit and mergers & acquisitions. Ms. Valdes will be responsible for talent acquisition within the firm’s consulting practice.
Prior to joining Marcum, Ms. Valdes spent 10 years as director of recruiting for the South Florida and Latin American regions at Resources Global Professionals. She brings recruiting knowledge of the South Florida market, along with an extensive local network of candidates skilled in higher level finance, accounting and IT roles. Her background also includes “Big 4” public accounting, consulting, and controller roles with South Florida companies.
