ManpowerGroup Posts Eight Percent Q2 Revenue Loss

July 23, 2012 – ManpowerGroup/(NYSE:MAN) has posted revenues of $5.2 billion for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012, a decrease of eight percent from a year earlier. Net earnings fell 44 percent to $41 million, or 51 cents per share, from $72.7 million, or 87 cents per share, a year ago. ManpowerGroup chairman and CEO Jeffrey A. Joerres, said: “The second quarter underscored our ability to execute well in a difficult environment. It was a quarter in which we experienced mild but steady declines in revenue throughout the quarter. Europe, which comprises 65 percent of our business, not surprisingly experienced the most decline in the quarter.”
