Korn Ferry Adds CTPartners Digital Recruiting Specialist

August 4, 2015 – Former CTPartners executive recruiter Debra Germaine has joined Korn Ferry as senior client partner in the firm’s technology and digital search practice.

She will be based in KF’s Boston office and will work with clients in San Francisco. Ms. Germaine joins ex-CTPartners recruiters Laurie O’Shea, Paul Ciancarelli, John Davitt, Jeremy Zemen, Adam Prager, Sarah Lim, Florence Magne, Nick Evans, and several others, all of whom have joined Korn Ferry since the start of the year. CTPartners was embroiled in an alleged sexual discrimination matter earlier this year, which resulted in the exodus of more than 75 of its top revenue producing search consultants.

Aside from those joining Korn Ferry, others dispersed to rivals including DHR International, Caldwell Partners, Russell Reynolds Associates, Heidrick & Struggles, Sheffield Haworth, Odgers Berndtson, Barrett Partners, and Kingsley Gate Partners, among others.

Ms. Germaine previously served as managing partner in CTPartners technology, media and telecom practice where she acted as global head of the firm’s chief marketing and chief digital officer practice. Her primary focus has been on recruiting C-level executives and senior-level operating professionals for the portfolio companies of her private equity clients based in Boston, New York and San Francisco as well as emerging growth companies and public corporations. She has completed global assignments for CEOs, CMOs, CDOs, CFOs, presidents, and functional vice presidents over the course of her career. In 2008, Ms. Germaine was named one of BusinessWeek’s ‘World’s Most Influential Headhunters.’

“Debra has extensive experience in the software and hardware industries and in private equity,” said Doug Charles, Korn Ferry Americas president. “She has completed global assignments for C-level executives, presidents, and board members. Her strong track record of success and deep understanding of diverse industries will be a wonderful asset to our team.” Prior to her nine-year stint with CTPartners, Ms. Germaine spent eight years with Heidrick & Struggles.

Korn Ferry’s global technology practice focuses on working with companies to attract, develop, and retain best-in-class tech and digital talent. The firm offers a full range of talent solutions — from strategic executive recruitment services, leadership development, and succession planning to executive assessment and talent management strategy.
