JDG Associates Seeks New Leader for American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists Foundation 

October 27, 2022 – Rockville, MD-based executive search firm JDG Associates has been retained by the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists Foundation (AARST). The executive director has the primary responsibility for implementing policies and directives as set by the board of directors. Chief among these are: ensuring effective management of the organization; adherence to AARST’s mission, bylaws, policies, and procedures; and developing and implementing appropriate processes and procedures to implement the strategic plan and supporting the industry stakeholder councils. The executive director serves as the public face and spokesperson for the association.

While headquartered in Hendersonville, NC, it is anticipated that the executive director will serve in the position remotely. The competitive compensation ranges from $137,000 to $175,000 commensurate with background and experience.

JDG Associates is looking for candidates with leadership skills and qualities, with proven success in remote supervision. Association experience, preferably at the executive director level is desired as well as strong, impactful oral and written communications skills; candidates should be highly effective in representation and outreach activities.

AARST is a non-profit, professional organization of members who are dedicated to the highest standard of excellence and the ethical performance of radon measurement, chemical vapor intrusion and soil gas mitigation, and transfer of information for the benefit of members, consumers, and the public at large. Formed in 1986 and now with approximately 1,000 individual and corporate members, AARST administers the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) National Accreditation Board accredited National Radon Proficiency Program.
