IIC Partners’ Palson Consulting Re-Opens in Japan
April 4, 2011 – IIC Partners has announced that Palson Consulting Co. has re-opened its office Japan. Palson’s president Koichi Sakamoto said aftershocks were still common in the city and travel was challenging, with some journeys taking four times longer than usual. However, despite some power cuts, Tokyo’s communications infrastructure was returning to normal. “Many Japanese companies have been seriously affected by the events of March 11,” said Mr. Sakamoto. “There was a very quiet period immediately after the earthquake and tsunami as our clients, like ourselves, halted business to ensure their families, friends and colleagues were safe. Aside from the nuclear power industry, the manufacturing sector is experiencing serious challenges due to the fact so many plants and factories have been damaged.”
