Hays Continues Growth in Japan

December 7, 2011 – Hays Specialist Recruitment Japan K.K. (Hays Japan) has appointed Jonathan Sampson as regional director. In this senior management role he is responsible for supporting Hays' continuing growth in Japan. In particular, he focuses on the IT, accountancy & finance, human resources, office professionals and legal specialisms for Hays' Akasaka and Shinjuku offices. Christine Wright, managing director of Hays in Japan, said: “Jonathan's appointment highlights Hays' ability to attract high-calibre individuals, and our view of the strong potential of the Japan market. We have focused on management over the past two years and Jonathan is a valuable addition, who will help drive the business forward.” Mr. Sampson has more than a decade of success in recruitment, and has held senior leadership roles in small, medium and large specialist recruitment consultancies servicing all industry sectors, in Australia, the U.K. and Japan. Over the past two years, Hays in Japan has grown from eighty staff to 130 and nine industry specialisms to 13, and has added a third office to its network. Hays plans to continue this growth into 2012.
