Harvey Nash Opens in Singapore
August 14, 2015 – Global executive search firm Harvey Nash has expanded its Asia Pacific business with the opening of a new office in Singapore. The firm has appointed Richard Goddard as managing director of South-East Asia operations.
With over two decades of international search experience across the global technology marketplace, Mr. Goddard will lead the development of Harvey Nash’s South-East Asia expansion and focus on diversity-related search work. He will also be responsible for leading the firm’s technology practice across the region.
Previously, Mr. Goddard served as managing partner, APAC and Japan, at Calibre One where he was responsible for the launch and build-out of the firm’s business in the region. Before that he was managing director – technology, media & telecommunications and APAC with RP International. There he led the launch and build out of RPI Technology, operating out of regional hubs in Singapore (Asia Pacific), Dubai (Middle East & Africa) and London (Europe, CIS & Americas). Earlier in his career, he held multiple roles at PSD, an international board, management and executive recruitment consulting firm.
“The expansion of our Singapore office comes at a critical juncture of our growth in the region. Following our acquisition in Japan last year, our new office in Singapore demonstrates our commitment to expanding our presence across the APAC region,” said Nick Marsh, managing director, Harvey Nash Executive Search Asia Pacific.
“The firm is well positioned to support the success of organizations throughout the region through our ability to discover key talent, and our unmatched focus on the benefits of diversity. We are thrilled to have Richard leading the charge in South-East Asia; we believe his experience as the market leader in the technology sector, combined with his deep network and ambition to deliver only the best, makes him the perfect match for our clients.”
Mr. Goddard said that he is looking forward “to working with a firm that is influencing real boardroom conversations about gender diversity,” as well as shaping the future of the Harvey Nash business in South-East Asia, and the wider Asia region. Singapore is the fifth market in Asia Pacific for Harvey Nash, which has teams currently operating in Hong Kong, Australia, Japan and Vietnam.
