GM Retains Spencer Stuart

June 18, 2009 – General Motors Corporation has selected Spencer Stuart to recruit new directors for its board, according to The Wall Street Journal. The announcement follows President Barrack Obama’s move to force the resignation of GM chairman and CEO G. Richard Wagoner and hand-pick his successor Frederick A. Henderson as the company’s new CEO. Detroit-based General Motors Corp., one of the world's largest automakers, was founded in 1908, and today manufactures cars and trucks in 34 countries. Founded in 1956 and privately owned, Spencer Stuart is an executive search consulting firm with 51 offices in 27 countries.
