Felix Global Appoints Executive Search Practice Leaders

March 26, 2021 – Leadership development, recruiting and outplacement firm Felix Global has named search veterans J. James O’Malley and Marc Detampel to lead its new executive search practice. “The addition of an executive search practice has been a desire of ours for some time as we continually look for ways to diversify our expertise,” said Jim Graham, chief executive officer of Felix Global. “Jim and Marc bring the exact leadership, professionalism and compassion that will serve our clients well. The new executive search practice is part of Felix Global’s growth strategy, which includes expanding and enhancing the firm’s portfolio of services while continuing to provide clients with human capital improvement services.

Mr. O’Malley will lead Felix Global’s executive search practice. He brings with him 30 years of talent acquisition solutions. In 2019, he co-founded Comhar Partners, a search firm focused on recruitment in the private equity, professional services and financial services sectors. Previously, he was a partner and executive search practice leader at TalentRISE, a recruitment solutions firm in Chicago. Prior to that, he was senior vice president in the human resource function of Fifth Third Bancorp. O’Malley has also worked for several professional service firms, including Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, Huron Consulting and Lante.

Mr. Detampel, who will serve as managing director, brings 25 years of consulting experience to the Felix Global team that includes advising on executive talent, human capital strategy, change management, leadership development and organizational design. He is focused on recruiting and talent management issues for clients in professional services and telecommunications, wireless and cable. With experience in human capital and organizational issues, Mr. Detampel continues to service chief human resources officers. Prior to joining Felix Global, he worked for several global consulting firms including Alvarez & Marsal, EY, Accenture and BearingPoint.
