Executive Hiring Prospects Remain High

October 1, 2013 – Executive hiring prospects remain high with about 59 percent of employers selectively or significantly increasing executive hiring for the balance of 2013 and 2014 according to Claymore Partners‘ Executive Talent Market Survey. The outlook expressed by unemployed executives is also significantly less optimistic than employed executives and is consistent with their perspectives in January 2013. Employed and unemployed executives have consistent timing for projected executive hiring improvements by year end 2013 and then after 2015 which is a longer timeframe than in recent surveys according to the report. Executive respondents indicated that the industries they work in that are planning to hire the most in 2014 are in consulting/professional services, health insurance, and healthcare/pharmaceuticals. The retail banking, wealth/investment management, and investment banking segments also have stronger and improving executive hiring prospects since the survey in January 2013.
