Erevena Appoints CEO

February 12, 2025 – London-based executive search firm Erevena has announced that after 21 years as CEO, Dan Hyde will transition into the newly created, full-time role of executive chair, focusing on client-facing activities and market strategy. Following a comprehensive search process, internally and externally, Jonas Helgesson will be promoted to CEO (effective immediately). With this new structure, Mr. Hyde will move away from the day-to-day management of the business to dedicate more time to client relationships and market-facing activities. “For many years Jon [Irvine] and I had hoped that we would build a business that someone else would want to lead, and that day has come,” said Mr. Hyde. “It’s the right time for this transition and Jonas is the perfect person to lead the company into its next phase. This is part of multiple developments happening this year for Erevena, and I’m energized to continue contributing to the firm’s growth and direction in this new role.”

“This change reflects the firm’s ongoing growth and commitment to meeting the demands of an increasingly competitive and complex market,” Erevena said. “This shift will help Erevena expand its capacity and better serve its clients, which include Mistral.ai, DeepL, Photoroom, Nothing, Celonis, Helsing, Asana and more, while also providing greater focus on strategic initiatives.

Mr. Helgesson has been with the firm for four years and has been instrumental in growing the Northern Europe presence. Since joining Erevena in 2020, he has been instrumental in establishing and growing the firm’s presence in Nordic and Baltic region and supported high growth businesses in the region with international executive search. Mr. Helgesson has a track record of delivering board and senior management hires for some of Europe’s most innovative companies, including Nothing, Varjo, Ardoq, Kempower, and Pleo. Before joining Erevena, he launched and managed the Northern European operations for a London-based executive search boutique.

“I’m honored to be stepping into the CEO role at such an exciting time,” said Mr. Helgesson. “Led by Dan and Jon, the team have built an exceptional reputation and international footprint. I’m looking forward to leading the firm as we continue to innovate and grow. This transition is an important step as we take a more holistic approach to talent advisory and executive search and drive new opportunities in key markets.”

New Chief Marketing Officer

Erevena also named Danielle Le Toullec as chief marketing officer. “Danielle brings deep expertise in strategic marketing and brand development, which will be instrumental as we continue to scale our business and innovate within our industry,” said Mr. Hyde. “Her proven track record of building impactful marketing strategies within the investor community aligns perfectly with our vision for the future. I’m excited to see the impact Danielle will have in cementing Erevena as an international leader in executive search and talent advisory.”

Erevena also recently appointed Gavin Holland as partner. “Gavin will further enhance our expertise in the financial services sector, a sector he has played a pivotal role in over the last 20 years,” Mr. Hyde said. “He will also play a key role in helping us develop a more systematic approach to investing capital into our clients. Having known Gavin for a long time we couldn’t be more excited to have him as part of the team.”
