Diversified Search to Host U.S. CEOs and African Heads of State to Promote Global Partnership

July 22, 2014 – A highly influential group of leaders representing African and African-American political, business and international trade communities will host the first annual “Gathering of Pan-African Leaders” at the Mayflower Hotel on Monday, August 4, 2014. Dale Jones, president of Diversified Search, and Carlos Austin, a private investor, are serving as co-chairs of the organizing committee. This year’s gathering will honor the work and leadership of former UN Ambassador Andrew Young who has worked tirelessly to promote trade and investment opportunities between Africa and North America. The goal of the gathering will be to advance the domestic business community’s focus on trade and investment in Africa and to help spur job and economic growth in the U.S. and Africa. Several current African heads of state, including President Jacob Zuma of South Africa, President Macky Sall of Senegal, and President Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania, have been invited and are expected to attend the pre-summit reception and dinner as well as serve as honorary chairs.
