DHR Global Names Vice Chairman

April 26, 2024 – Talent advisory firm DHR Global has appointed Ayman Haddad as vice chairman. In his new role, Mr. Haddad will continue to play a pivotal role in DHR’s ongoing expansion across the Middle East and Africa, with a strategic focus on entering new growth markets, including Saudi Arabia. “Ayman’s elevation to vice chairman is a testament to his exceptional team leadership and commitment,” said Geoff Hoffmann, CEO of DHR Global. “His strategic partnership and expertise have added significant value to our clients, firm, and people.”

In addition, Mr. Haddad will retain his position as the managing partner for the Middle East and Africa region and leader of the EMEA financial services practice. His expertise lies in advising local and multinational companies during critical organizational phases, including turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, and growth stages. Notably, in 2012, Mr. Haddad led the establishment of DHR’s first Middle East office in Dubai.

With over 30 years of experience across Europe and the Middle East in management consulting, CEO roles, and board membership, Mr. Haddad’s track record extends to building boards, developing organization structures and leadership teams across various sectors, including financial services, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, and holding companies. Additionally, he is a co-founder and former governor of the GCC board of directors Institute, an initiative to elevate corporate governance standards in the Middle East.

Since 1989, DHR Global has been a leading, privately held provider of executive search solutions with more than 50 wholly owned offices spanning the globe. The firm’s consultants specialize in all industries and functions, providing senior-level executive search, management assessment, and succession planning services.

DHR recently appointed Priya Taneja as chief operating officer. “We are thrilled to have Priya take on the role of chief operating officer,” said Mr. Hoffmann. “Her client service orientation, strategic mindset, and dedication to excellence will continue to be instrumental in implementing our growth strategies around the globe. Priya’s commitment to our clients and team members make her the ideal choice for this critical position.” As COO, Ms. Taneja will be pivotal in shaping the firm’s strategic direction and operational excellence. Her appointment to her new role comes with a strong endorsement of her capabilities and contributions to DHR. With over a decade of service, she has been integral to the firm’s success, consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership and deep industry understanding, DHR notes.

In addition to her current role overseeing people operations, recruiting and research, learning and development, and administration, Ms. Taneja’s expanded responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations and spearheading strategic projects. She will also focus on the firm’s financial management, talent development, and technology integration efforts while fostering a vibrant corporate culture.

New Vice Chairman

DHR also appointed James Abruzzo as vice chairman. In this role, he represents the firm while speaking at industry conferences and forums, provide search and consulting advice to clients, and mentor associates pursuing partner-level positions. “We are grateful for the steady and experienced leadership James has demonstrated heading DHR’s non-profit practice for the past 22 years,” said Mr. Hoffman. “He put DHR’s name on the map in the non-profit sector and established our strong profile in the space. From successfully placing high-profile leaders to delivering prolific thought leadership to mentoring the next generation of search consultants, James sets the bar for what a DHR partner should be.”

Previously serving as global managing partner, Mr. Abruzzo founded the non-profit practice in 2001. He has over 35 years of experience as an executive search and management consultant to non-profit organizations. His clients span the non-profit spectrum — cultural organizations, zoos and aquariums, national health services, universities, social services, international relief organizations, and trade associations. Having completed over 500 senior executive searches, he is recognized for his work with non-profit boards on succession planning, strategy, and executive compensation. He has also been responsible for recruiting new partners, developing intellectual capital, and representing DHR at non-profit industry forums.
