Correlate Grows London Operations
September 29, 2010 – Executive search firm Correlate Financial Markets Limited (formerly known as Akamai Financial Markets) has expanded its coverage in London with the additions of David Newhouse, Tricia Tucker and Richard Melkonian. Mr. Newhouse most recently has worked as a hedge fund manager and will focus on equity derivatives and quant strategy markets. Ms. Tucker joins the firm having spent a year working for a consultancy focusing on humanitarian, UN and Government projects in the Middle East. Mr. Melkonian, who will focus on the interest rate market, joins the firm from the broker Tradition, where he worked with fixed income products in the U.K. In addition, Correlate has added Andre Berry to work along side Colleen Quilty to further develop the firm’s commodity practice. Mr. Berry previously served as a director at SSY Futures on the Tanker Derivative desk in London. In 2009 he was chairman of the Baltic Exchange Tanker Forward Freight Agreement Brokers Association (FFABA). Matthew Hutchins has also joined the firm to work alongside Gavin Bonnet in the regulatory and governance sector. “We have enjoyed a considerable upturn in client activity this year which has highlighted some gaps in our front office coverage,” said Simon Vaughan-Edwards, managing director, global markets. “We are delighted to have been able to hire senior individuals with markets experience to complete our coverage across all products and function within the global markets space.” Established in 1994 under the Alexander Mann brand, Correlate focuses on senior-level executive search assignment for the financial services industry. Correlate is a subsidiary of Hexagon Human Capital Plc, a U.K.-based executive search organization.
