CarterBaldwin Assists AdelFi With Chief Innovation and Technology Officer Search

September 9, 2026 – CarterBaldwin Executive Search has assisted in the recruitment of Cameron Forbes as chief innovation and technology officer of AdelFi, a division of Christian Community Credit Union. His appointment is a key piece of AdelFi’s strategy investing in enhanced cybersecurity and regulatory readiness, scaled digital channels for engagement and accessibility, and improved personalized, digitally enabled member experiences. Associate partner Chad Embry led the assignment.
“As AdelFi continues to build a modern technology ecosystem that supports both operational excellence and member experience, Cameron Forbes brings a wealth of expertise to advance our mission,” said Blair Korschun, CEO of AdelFi Christian Banking. “In an increasingly digital financial landscape, Cameron will be instrumental in expanding AI capabilities, enhancing digital platforms and delivering personalized member experiences moving forward. As AdelFi looks to the future, the institution will seek to streamline and simplify current systems as the foundation for future innovation, producing AI-enabled member experiences, robust data infrastructure, digital growth enablement and mission-aligned technology.”
Mr. Forbes brings over 25 years of experience leading enterprise transformation, AI strategy and data-driven innovation across financial services, global manufacturing and consulting organizations. He brings a unique blend of hands-on operator experience, proven transformation outcomes and values-driven leadership with a mission-oriented perspective that aligns with AdelFi’s Christian financial services model.
Most recently, Mr. Forbes served as chief technology officer of HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union, the state’s largest, where he built the organization’s first enterprise AI governance framework and a Snowflake-based data warehouse. Before HawaiiUSA, he spent nine years as senior director of IT and cybersecurity at Sumitomo Rubber North America, where he built the technology roadmap supporting the company’s hyper revenue growth, led a digital transformation that grew eCommerce, and improved forecasting accuracy.
Earlier, as CIO and VP of information systems at Channell Commercial Corporation, Mr. Forbes led two global ERP upgrades and established the company’s SOX compliance and enterprise risk programs while revenue doubled during his near-decade tenure. He also served as interim CFO during an executive transition, leading the capital raise that took the company private. Mr. Forbes began his career at Kintana, an IT governance and automation startup, where he built the consulting practice that drove enterprise adoption of the company’s platform. His experience in modernizing data and technology platforms to support scalable, member-focused innovation will be his focus at AdelFi.
“I am honored to join AdelFi’s mission and committed to enhancing our strong technology foundation to better serve our members,” said Mr. Forbes. “AdelFi exists to help our members flourish, and that means giving them the very best of what technology can offer. By staying at the forefront of innovation, we can serve more believers, more ministries, and more communities than ever before.”
