Carrington & Carrington Seeking HR Leader for UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside
October 10, 2019 – Chicago-based executive recruitment firm Carrington & Carrington has been tapped by UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside to lead its search for a new vice president of HR. Principal Marian H. Carrington is leading the assignment along with SVP Dr. Nelvia M. Brady-Hampton.
The incoming leader will be charged with championing and promoting the organization’s mission, vision, and values while pushing the organization’s reputation forward as a great and innovative place to work. They will develop and sustain a work environment and culture that engages the workforce, promotes innovation and delivers top clinical and business performance.
In addition, the HR leader will be proactive in creating new opportunities for HR processes and strategic improvements. They will represent stakeholders when providing feedback on the quality and effectiveness of HR shared services, including compensation, benefits and talent management programs.
Carrington & Carrington is looking for someone with an advanced degree preferred in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a closely related field. The right candidate should have at least eight years of human resources experience or equivalent business experience with at least five years of management experience. They are seeking an “experienced HR professional with demonstrated strategic ability to translate business imperatives into organizational design and talent initiatives.” In addition, they must have a commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Help Wanted: Manager of Executive Recruitment
Carrington & Carrington continues its multi-year partnership with UPMC as it sets out to find the organization’s next manager of executive recruitment. The position will report directly to the director of talent acquisition. Dr. Brady-Hampton manages the firm’s Memphis, TN, office. She has spent 15 years with Carrington & Carrington and has been responsible for developing and leading a major practice group in not-for-profit and education.
