CareerBoard.com Launches 35 Locally Focused Job Boards

March 1, 2010 – CareerBoard.com has announced the addition of 35 locally focused job boards to its existing 12 board network. Employers and job seekers in 47 major U.S. cities now have an online resource to connect with one another. New job boards launched include Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Los Angeles. “We have been providing a quality service to the Midwest market for nearly 12 years now and have found our offering of 'Local Jobs, Local Talent' meets the needs of both employers and job seekers. Most employers will fill their openings with people who live in their area and similarly, the majority of job seekers look for work close to where they live,” said Peter Tuttle, president of CareerBoard.com. CareerBoard differentiates itself by offering cost effective alternatives to traditional 30-day advertisements including 7-day job postings and a Pay for Performance pricing option. CareerBoard's Pay for Performance (P4P) product enables employers to advertise their opening for free and only pay for qualified applications. Employers build a “qualified candidate profile” though a series of filtering questions and their cost per applicant is calculated from the number and depth of the filtering questions selected and the hiring salary.
