Boyden Opens New Office in Chile

April 17, 2026 – Boyden has opened a new office in Santiago, Chile. The office will be led by Francisca López and María José López, who both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm. “Latin America is a compelling and fast-changing environment for business,” said Chad Hesters, president and CEO of Boyden. “Chile has emerged as one of the most active and dynamic executive search markets in this region. Through Boyden’s expansion here, it’s an opportunity for us to connect top-tier executive talent with leading organizations driving growth in key sectors and reinforce our commitment to servicing our clients’ global talent needs.”

Francisa López has over 20 years of experience working in executive search. She has worked across sectors like mining, infrastructure, energy, education and healthcare. She was formerly with Althus Partners.

María José López has led executive search teams for over 15 years, bringing strong expertise to senior hiring. With a 30‑year career as an entrepreneur in the retail sector, she has deep industry knowledge. She was also formerly with Althus Partners.

South America’s business landscape is rapidly evolving, and organizations have a growing need for strong executive leadership. As the region becomes increasingly seen as a pillar for global business, Chile has surfaced as a critical talent pool for organizations that need leaders who can work across borders and have a tech-forward mindset to navigate high-stakes sectors. The ability to embrace and leverage digital transformation is no longer a luxury but a fundamental requirement for maintaining a competitive position in today’s market.

“We want to position Chile as a benchmark for senior executives, both in the region and globally,” said Francisca López. “In 2026, Chile’s executive search market has been defined by a shift away from traditional hiring towards a more adaptive, tech-forward mindset. Our resources and experience will allow us to place leaders who meet the current needs of a business and can strategize for the future.”

“As Chile transforms into a more widely recognized international hub, organizations need leaders who understand both the local market and the global business landscape,” said María José López. “With our experience and understanding of the market combined with Boyden’s global reach, we are well positioned to identify leaders who can guide these organizations through long-term growth and transformation.”

New Colombian Office

Boyden also recently opened a new office in Bogotá, Colombia. Juan David Guzman and Felipe Sandoval, who bring deep expertise in executive search and human capital strategy, will spearhead office operations to help strengthen Boyden’s presence across Latin America. Their combined sector expertise spans some of the fastest growing and most complex industries like life sciences, consumer goods, technology, finance, agribusiness, energy and a range of other key sectors essential to Colombia and Latin America’s economic landscape.

Colombia has emerged as a critical yet often underutilized hub for multinational corporations looking to fill these roles, due to its location and highly skilled talent pool. “We are thrilled to open our new Colombia office as part of our commitment to supporting the region’s remarkable talent and dynamic business growth,” said Mr. Hesters. “Our Colombia office expansion will allow us to deepen local partnerships and deliver world-class leadership solutions that help organizations thrive in today’s competitive global market.”

“The Colombian business landscape has shown exciting growth over the past few years,” said Mr. Guzman. “Now, organizations are increasingly looking for executive leadership that can more readily adapt to change and be prepared to move away from the status quo. Boyden’s strong history of placing agile leaders positions us to meet those needs across this region.”

“Executive leadership demand in South America, particularly in Colombia, has increased exponentially,” Mr. Sandoval said. “Colombia is being recognized as a burgeoning startup environment – and as these companies scale, they’re looking for leaders to guide that growth. Boyden’s expansion into Bogotá is a direct and timely response to this critical need.”
