Artico Search Recruits Chief Sales Officer for Versapay

February 19, 2026 – Artico Search has assisted in the recruitment of Emily Roccheggiani as chief sales officer of Versapay in San Francisco. Mercedes Chatfield-Taylor, CEO and co-founder of Artico Search, led the assignment. “Emily has spent her career inside some of the most important growth stories in modern fintech,” said Carey Kolaja, CEO of Versapay. “She knows what it takes to build, scale, and win—from the earliest days of category creation through global expansion. Ms. Roccheggiani brings deep expertise in fintech and payments and has supported organizations through periods of significant growth. She spent more than eight years at Adyen, joining as the sixth member of the North American sales team during a period of major global expansion. She helped build the region’s commercial organization and contributed to the company’s growth across multiple industries. Following her time at Adyen, Ms. Roccheggiani served as chief revenue officer at Forma, where she built and led go–to–market teams in a competitive employee–benefits market.

Versapay continues to gain traction with mid-market and enterprise customers as businesses look to modernize receivables, improve cash flow, and deliver seamless payment experiences across their ecosystems. Ms. Roccheggiani’s appointment underscores the company’s commitment to scaling its commercial engine in step with its expanding platform and growing market demand. Earlier in her career, she held business development and advisory positions in financial services.

At Versapay, Ms. Roccheggiani will be responsible for driving the company’s next stage of growth, expanding its footprint across core verticals, deepening strategic partnerships, and scaling a high-performance sales organization designed to meet the demands of modern B2B commerce.

Ms. Chatfield-Taylor has completed over 75 CEO searches as well as partner, principal, and other CXO level assignments for the world’s most successful global investors. Her team focuses on executive-level search for scale-up venture capital and private equity-firms and their portfolios. The team has deep expertise in AI, software, data and emerging technology businesses.

A pioneer in the development of the cybersecurity recruiting industry, Matt Comyns co-founded Artico Search with Ms. Chatfield-Taylor to lead the team helping companies protect against cyberwarfare. He built the original cybersecurity search practices at two global firms — Russell Reynolds Associates and Caldwell Partners — completing more than 300 executive-level searches in a hyper-competitive market by serving as a trusted advisor for chief information security officers. He developed his vast network as founding CEO and sales executive at tech and media companies in New York, San Francisco, and Beijing.

Recent Assignment

Artico Search also recently assisted in the recruitment of Leslie Henthorn as the new chief marketing officer of private equity-backed Fleetio. Ms. Chatfield-Taylor also led that assignment.

Most recently, she served as chief marketing officer of Ironclad. Prior to this, Ms. Henthorn spent over eight years with Twilio, serving lastly as senior vice president of corporate marketing.
