Amrop Names Nine New Partners

October 17, 2013 – Global executive search firm Amrop has appointed nine new partners to its global network of executive search consultants. Ricardo Amatto joins the firm in Brazil and will be responsible for Amrop’s financial services practice (commercial banking, investment banking, insurance, asset & wealth management, credit cards and payments and private equity) in the region. Previously, he was a partner at FESA, focused on executive search for C-level financial services executives. Virginia Clarke, who comes to Amrop in Chicago, previously served as founder and CEO of Talent Optimization Partners, a talent and career management consulting firm serving corporate clients. Prior to that, she was a partner with Spencer Stuart, where she co-founded and led the firm's global diversity practice. Caroline Dever has been promoted to partner in Melbourne. Prior to joining Amrop, Ms. Dever worked for Heidrick & Struggles, focusing on senior appointments in steel, chemical and manufacturing. Carlos Fernandes joins Amrop from Cribb Personalberatung GmbH where he was a partner. Previously, Mr. Fernandes worked at Martens & Partner as a consultant and later as a manager at MRI Worldwide. Paul Hill, who joins Amrop in Melbourne, has over 15 years of domestic and international executive search experience, working for Australian-based clients. Before Amrop, he spent three years with Heidrick & Struggles and 10 years with KPMG’s executive search and selection practice. Jeff Holloway becomes part of Amrop’s team in Calgary. Mr. Holloway has 15 years’ experience in search, with 13 years at Robert Half International (RHI). Pii Kotilainen, who joins the firm in Finland, has extensive experience in global multinational companies in telecommunications, mobile devices, consumer packaging and stainless steel. As chief HR officer in the past, she has overseen many top executive recruitment and management assessment processes. Federico Schwalb, a new member of the team in Peru, leads search assignments for senior executives and board members for local and international companies of medium and large-scale, mostly in mining, construction, infrastructure, energy, and oil & gas. Mr. Schwalb was previously regional director of operations for Newmont in Latin America. Javier Zabala, who is now a part of the staff in Chile, has held various management positions in Asia, Europe and the Americas in organizations such as Luksic Group, Von Appen Group, Citibank and Gildemeister. Prior to joining Amrop, he worked for three years in management consulting and executive search at Accenture and Korn/Ferry International.
