AESC Names Karen Greenbaum as President and CEO

September 11, 2014 – The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) has named Karen Greenbaum as its next president and CEO, replacing Peter Felix who recently announced his intentions to retire after 16 years as the organization’s CEO. The search was led by a committee of eight senior AESC members and managed by Heidrick & Struggles. Ms. Greenbaum spent three decades with Mercer Consulting, where she rose from consultant to president and chief operating officer of Mercer’s U.S. consulting practice; her concluding role at Mercer was as worldwide partner, civic leadership. Subsequently, she served four years as COO for Nixon Peabody, a global 100 law firm. Most recently, Ms. Greenbaum has been a partner for Pierce Consulting Partners, a boutique search firm. “Karen has demonstrated in numerous venues her ability to strengthen organizational effectiveness across multiple geographies, industry sectors and firm profiles,” said AESC board member Thomas Daniels, chair of the search committee and a senior director at Spencer Stuart.
