Accenture Adds Human Services Practice Director
February 9, 2010 – Jerry Friedman has joined Accenture’s human services practice as director of strategic initiatives. Mr. Friedman has served as the American Public Human Services Association’s (APHSA) executive director since 2001. “Human services agencies face unprecedented pressure to meet increasing demands for citizen services at a time when budgets continue to decline,” said Steve Rohleder, group chief executive of Accenture’s health and public service operating group. “Jerry’s highly respected expertise gives us a unique understanding of the challenges facing human services leaders.” Mr. Friedman has more than three decades of experience in human services. Prior to joining APHSA he was executive deputy commissioner of the Texas Department of Human Services. Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, with more than 176,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries. The firm recently cut its marketing and promotional ties to golfer Tiger Woods.
