February 14, 2024 – Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES) has assisted in the placement of Mary Schutten as the founding dean of the College of Health Sciences at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) in Southfield, MI. This follows a national search led by managing partner Jennifer Muller. “Our College of Health Sciences was formed to address the growing need for technologically educated medical professionals in all parts of the healthcare sector,” said Tarek M. Dr. Schutten is a strategic academic leader with a track record of transformative leadership and innovation in higher education and healthcare administration. Most recently, she served as executive vice president and provost at Central Michigan University. Previous positions include dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences at San Jose State University and associate dean for students and curriculum at Grand Valley State University.
