20/20 Foresight Executive Talent Solutions Assists the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with Marketing and Communications Search

March 12, 2024 – 20/20 Foresight Executive Talent Solutions has assisted in the recruitment of Julie Stapf as vice president of marketing and communications of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Stapf is a highly accomplished, award winning marketing and communications leader. She joins the Pittsburgh Symphony from the Cleveland Orchestra, where she served for several years as vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to that, Ms. Stapf held leadership positions in marketing, sales, and communications at the Hartford Stage, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, U.S. Marine Band, and the Levine School of Music.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, a globally renowned organization, sought a VP of marketing and communications to lead its earned revenue and customer experience efforts while managing a large and diverse team. Collaborating closely with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, 20/20 aligned the organization’s growth objectives with its vision for enhanced experiences to formulate a recruitment strategy. The firm created a target list that extended nationally into all areas of live programming including music, theater, museums, and entertainment. This approach resulted in a highly varied pool of candidates that helped the PSO crystallize what mattered most for this role.

Jonathan Berman, managing director of 20/20 Foresight, led the recruitment efforts that led to the placement of Ms. Stapf into this senior position. Mr. Berman covers searches, executive marketing, and organizational consulting across the U.S. He works with real estate clients across all functional areas including executive leadership, development, acquisitions, asset management, revenue generation, administration, and capital markets. Beyond real estate Mr. Berman also serves private equity and non-profit sectors. He has more than 25 years of growth strategy experience in consulting, operating,  and  entrepreneurial  roles.  Working  with  global  leaders  across industries including Deloitte, GE, and Lenovo, he has led numerous projects that span all aspects of transformation to drive revenue and profitability.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has a history of touring both domestically and internationally since 1900. The orchestra currently counts more than 36 international tours, including 20 to Europe, eight trips to the Far East and two to South America.

Rebranding

Formerly known as 20/20 Foresight Executive Search, the firm recently rebranded to 20/20 Foresight Executive Talent Solutions. This name change represented the culmination of the firm’s evolution into a full-service, vertically integrated talent advisory firm.
