Greenwood/Asher & Associates Adds New Leadership

September 8, 2017 – Executive search firm Greenwood/Asher & Associates has expanded with the addition of Susanne Griffin as vice president and managing director. Based in the company’s headquarters in Miramar Beach, FL, Ms. Griffin works closely with the partners Dr. Jan Greenwood and Dr. Betty Asher to oversee financial management of the firm, supervision and development of consultants and team members, and organization of systems and operations.

Ms. Griffin has a wealth of experience gained through a successful career in K-12 leadership managing complex education organizations and advancing the collaborative success of professionals. She has been chief academic officer of the Minneapolis Public Schools, acting superintendent and deputy superintendent of school improvement and redesign for the Bibb County Public Schools in Macon, GA. Ms. Griffin has also served on a wide range of education, service and community boards and advisory councils.

She brings to Greenwood/Asher considerable experience in recruiting, hiring, onboarding and developing professional employees. Her deep knowledge of organizations and how performance is achieved attracted her to the search industry, the firm said. Her passion for, and experience with, coaching leaders at the executive level led her to pursue formal certification as an executive coach, the firm added.

Ms. Griffin’s other executive roles include leadership posts within the Rochester (MN) Public Schools, including executive director of school improvement and accountability, principal at Franklin/Montessori at Franklin Elementary Schools, principal at Churchill/Hoover Elementary Schools, interim director of special education and speech/language pathologist. She also served as an educational consultant with the Cochlear Implant Program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
