Taurean is the first firm dedicated to Performance Architecture for private equity. We work exclusively with general partners to design, build, and strengthen their value creation capabilities—helping firms move from ad hoc hiring to intentional, durable team design. Where traditional recruiters simply fill roles, Taurean integrates strategy, selection, and post-hire success into one cohesive model.

Our clients are private equity firms across stages of maturity, from emerging managers building their first dedicated operating teams to established firms refining or scaling their value creation model. We specialize in architecting and filling critical portfolio-facing roles—Operating Partners, Portfolio Talent Leaders, functional specialists, and Office-of-CFO leaders—that shape execution at both the fund and portfolio levels.

What differentiates Taurean is experience and design. Our founders have sat in the seat, having led value creation functions inside Vista Equity Partners and Marlin Equity Partners, and personally hired and integrated dozens of firm-level operators. That firsthand experience enables us to translate ambiguity into clarity, scope roles in context of fund strategy, and evaluate candidates through an operator’s lens.
