Shelton Guinn is a Partner at L. Maxwell and leads the firm’s Chief People Officer Practice. He is a trusted advisor to CEOs, boards, and private equity sponsors navigating leadership decisions during periods of growth, complexity, and transformation. Through his decades of experience, Shelton will expand the firm’s Chief People Officer Practice to better serve our private equity clients and the evolving needs of their portfolio companies.

Shelton began his career at Allegis Group, where he spent more than two decades in senior leadership roles as the firm scaled from a niche staffing business into a global human capital leader. As part of that journey, he worked closely with executive leadership on organizational design, talent strategy, and enterprise leadership decisions critical to sustained growth.

At L. Maxwell, Shelton contributes across CEO, board, and C-suite engagements, bringing deep industry judgment shaped by firsthand experience building and scaling market-leading platforms.
