Leathwaite Appoints New Partner

September 23, 2025 – London-based executive search firm Leathwaite has named Tim Dunn as a partner, based between New York and Philadelphia. “Tim brings deep experience and a strong track record of building world-class leadership teams in the high-pressure, high-growth portfolio company environments where our private equity clients invest,” said Hypatia Kingsley, president of the Americas. “His arrival adds tremendous horsepower to our North America growth strategy, integrating seamlessly into our work with the leading private capital firms.”
Mr. Dunn joins the firm to strengthen its growing presence across North America and deepen Leathwaite’s partnerships with private equity clients’ operating teams and portfolio companies. He will work closely with industrial and business services clients within PE-backed environments and will focus on C-suite leadership. He brings strategic insight, operational expertise, and a passion for solving complex leadership challenges in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
Mr. Dunn is a seasoned executive search leader and former U.S. Army officer, bringing deep expertise in identifying transformative talent for private equity-backed, middle-market businesses. He focuses on placing CFOs, COOs, CEOs, and CHROs across industrial, services, and consumer sectors. Prior to Leathwaite, Mr. Dunn served as a partner at Morgan Samuels, a 50+ year-old executive search firm, where he led high-impact searches for portfolio companies navigating inflection points such as carve-outs, leadership transitions, and value creation plans. Earlier in his career, he was president of a CPG eCommerce company in the automotive aftermarket space, and he held commercial leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes Spine division.
