Education

Higher Education is undergoing dramatic changes. The fabric of our educational landscape is quickly shifting in light of funding, technology, and demographics. All of this adds up to the need for leaders who both understand the unique needs and requirements of academic institutions, but grasp the many ways in which change from a variety of external sources is altering their traditional form, structure, and delivery methodologies. The leadership model for these institutions will continue to shift more toward hybrid, non-traditional, cross-sector executives who can navigate through these changes successfully. As a firm, Lochlin Partners has conducted assignments across the higher education landscape, including traditional four-year institutions, emerging international institutions, community colleges, as well as organizations that provide products and services to these institutions. We are well versed in institutions undergoing great change, including both traditional and for-profit entities. The challenge in the future will be to see “beyond the norm” in the world of higher education leadership—to identify and attract leaders whose experience and vision will be both adaptive and innovative.
